The Godfather and the Governor: How Lamidi Adedibu Removed Rashidi Ladoja as Oyo State Governor by Onigegewura The Speaker knew something was wrong immediately he entered the chambers of the parliament. For a moment he wondered if he had stepped into a wrong building. But the inscription on the building was bold and clear: Oyo State House of Assembly. It was not a wrong building. But something was still amiss. On the seat reserved for him as the Speaker, an apparent stranger was already seated holding the gavel. Well, not really an apparent stranger. The seat was occupied by a fellow lawmaker who was also the Deputy Speaker. “What insolence!” Abraham Adeleke, the Speaker, thought as he marched briskly towards the usurper. Laiku ekìri, ta lo le fi awo ra da gbedu [Who could use the skin of a live animal to make a drum?] With all the dignity he could muster under the circumstance, he ordered his Deputy, Taiwo Oluyemi, to vacate his seat. Oluyemi did not even acknowledge his presence. ...

IS THERE ANYTHING WRONG IN IMITATING A MAN?

Image
A man can cheat on his woman and still love her but a woman cannot cheat on her man and still love him. I say this because while men do not have sex with emotions, women can't have sex without attaching emotions to it. This is the reason men simply need a place to have sex while women need a reason to have sex. Most women who take their husbands to court for divorce are those that cheat on their men. A non cheating woman would most likely never take her husband to court for divorce, unless the man exceedingly abuses her physically and emotionally to the point of killing her. Men don't equate sex with love. A man can have sex with another woman but still doesn't love her. That's why women who fell in love with married men find it difficult to find happiness in those relationships as they are just being used by those married men. But once a married woman starts sleeping with you, she can even narrates some hidden secretes concerning her husband and she will even tell y...

The 90-count charge filed at the Federal High Court, Abuja, was withdrawn by the Police, even before the formal commencement of trial. However, a new 13-count charge has been brought to replace the initially filed 90-count charge. The Police authority has been having running battle with the Peace Corps Commandant in the last one year, with his arrest and 49 others on February 28, 2017. No reason was given by the Police for the sudden withdrawal of the 90-count charge. It was, however, gathered that, the Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) had faulted the bogus charges brought against Akoh early this year. The AGF office, according to an anonymous source, found most of the charges frivolous a...

PROF. WOLE SOYINKA'S TRIBUTE TO TINUBU

Prof. Wole Soyinka's tribute to Sen. Asiwaju Tinubu. "I do not admire Tinubu because he is a saint. I do not admire Tinubu because he is from the south. I do not admire Tinubu because he is a Yoruba. If I want saints, I will proceed to heaven not on earth. Every human is fallible. I admire Tinubu because; He saved Nigeria from the danger of falling into "one party state". He has nurtured many renowned National successors. He listened to the voice of the masses to surrender his personal ambition at the most critical moment. He strategically terminated PDP 60 years life spam in 16 years. The robust critic and critique we are enjoying today is because Tinubu aligned himself to the masses to return the power to them. Tinubu has the option of joining the PDP elites to hold us hostage for another decade but he gave his all to the masses to dethrone the elites. Political juveniles believed that APC won because of the votes from the North. No!!!, APC victory was cemented t...
